So I had spent a long time building worlds, and recently with the 1.16.1 update I have had a lot of glitches. The main one being massive chunk deletion. Whenever I enter the updated nether, return to the overworld, then save and quit my game, the next day, or roughly 24 hours, the whole world will be reverted back to the original state, and some chunks will be deleted past the bedrock level. This has only happened to me after going into the updated nether. I believe there is some chunk loading glitch or something like that. Please note I was not using any third party software, and I had not "hacked" my game in any way. This is the second world it has happened in. The screen shots below are taken from tow different worlds, both which had the same issue. Everything else I had worked on in these worlds is almost completely gone, and the world is reverted back to the original state, except for the missing chunks. I would appreciate your team looking into it. Thank you.
