After defeating the dragon, I built a land bridge out the outer ring of isles I then learned of the End portal gateways and how they would teleport you to the isles without needing to walk there. I attempted to use an end gateway portal to reach the outer isles of the end. 

I built a dirt housing around the portal so I wouldn't miss and get flung out into the void.

 I threw an ender pearl into the center but was teleported into blackness. I was not falling, I was not moving, I could not see anything. my coordinates did not change,

I quit the game. my computer will now not load the world. It begins to, but when the green bar is full nothing changes, the tips just continue to scroll across.
