Affects Version/s: 1.9.0, 22.214.171.124 Beta, 126.96.36.199 Beta
Fix Version/s: 1.12.0
Update by [Mojang] Mega_Spud (Jay Wells):
After the player has experienced the bug with getting stuck in a black void (as per
MCPE-40538) sometimes the game will not load correctly. Even in 188.8.131.52 the game can get stuck on the generating world screen. As mentioned in the comments, minimising the game and resuming it can force the world to load and render again.
Example world link: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AiiTOCjOSnByfocq6_gCg5djG8U
Steps to Reproduce:
- Attempt to load in a world where the player has been stuck in an end gateway on Windows 10
- When the game gets stuck on the "Generating world" screen, minimise the window, and then maximise it
When the game is minimised/maximised, the world loads in correctly. This may not be a valid workaround for players on other platforms, however.
The game should load correctly.

After entering a fully functional End Gateway Portal post-update 1.9.0 (I had aready defeated the Ender Dragon and explored the islands around the Gateway Portal prior to this update), my character glitched out and stuck in place. I closed the game and opened it again.
Now my world doesn't load at all, I can't acess my game anymore. I am stuck in the Loading Screen (the one with the game tips). I have left my Switch running for 40 minutes non-stop and it didn't work.
The game doesn't crash or anything, because the game tips continue playing normally. I recorded a video but it doesn't show anything other than the loading screen for 30 seconds, which is the limit for the Nintendo Switch. If anyone has a temp fix please let me know.
Sadly I don't have a backup because it's mandatory to have a Nintendo Switch Subscription, which I don't own.
-This world is a Survival game only.
-The file size is 208MB.
-I don't use cheats or Creative mode. If there's a way to recover the world using one of these, let me know. I am willing to activate cheats or Creative, as long as I don't lose this world which I have been working on for over a year now.
