In the experimental snapshots, a change was made to the generation of the stone (granite, diorite, andesite) patches. They were made less common on the surface and then compensated with the addition of stone layers (strips). Additionally, calcite layers were added to stony peaks.
However, only some of those changes were carried over to the Bedrock beta.
Here are some ways in which Bedrock currently differs from the intended generation:
- Stone Shores don't have decreased number of diorite, granite and andesite patches;
- Stone Shores don't have diorite, granite and andesite layers, only gravel ones;
- Stony Peaks have decreased number of gravel patches (only the stone ones should have been decreased);
- Stony Peaks don't have granite, andesite and gravel layers, only calcite ones.
