[Experimental] Chunks in mountains incorrectly cull

XMLWordPrintable

    • Unconfirmed
    • Windows

Certain chunks in mountains incorrectly cull despite being directly visible to the player from a certain distance. Upon moving closer they are rendered in correctly. I have a screenshot attached of what this looks like, and this occurs regardless of having Ray Tracing activated or not.

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Create a world in beta 1.17.30.23 with the new generation activated through the Caves & Cliffs experiment toggle, with the seed 2047979162
      2. Enter the world and go to the coordinates -1480, 250, -1037 and look at the mountains below

      Observed Results:

Specific chunks in the mountains are culled despite being in a direct line of sight to the player. Upon moving within a much closer distance to them they will begin to render.

      Expected Results:

Since the player camera has a direct line of sight to these chunks, they should not be culling.
