Hello dear Mojang Team!
I have noticed a bug that critically affects local worlds hosted from one device to others via WLAN.
So the bug I want to mention is, when you join someone's world and play for some time, then disconnect and switch your internet connection to cellular or just a different Wi-Fi, there is a high chance for the whole Inventory/position of the player/score to be entirely gone.
I was playing peacefully with my brother and it happened twice. I lost so much progress.
I don't know why this is happenening, it ruins the fun in playing on a local hosted world together and all of the player data should nornally be stored on the world itself so I am really clueless here.
So far I have seen this only happen on my Android device, but idk if it might affect mulitple devices.
(I was using my Microsoft Account L0L0XHD the whole time)
Unfortunatly I have only the steps to reproduce:
Step 1: Start a world
Step 2: Let a friend join via Wi-Fi
Step 3: Gather some stuff
Step 4: All players should leave the world
Step 5: Turn off your Wi-Fi and the leave cellular data (mobile data connection) on, on the second device
Step 6: Turn mobile hotspot on, on the 2nd device and let the host device (which has the world) connect
Step 7: Now join the world and let the friend connect again
Step 8: The result should be missing progress of the friend who played on the world
Try the same with switching to a different Wi-Fi. If the Wi-Fi has a second router who just makes the signal strengh stronger and is basically the same internet but just a different device you are connecting it to then it should happen too, because it did it with my cousins world too 3 times.
For some reason, even if it is the same account you've been using to get into a world of a friend, the stuff still disappears. The confusing part is tho, why did the world not save the player data.
I hope you can dig into this because it just ruins the purpose of locally hosted worlds.
Thank you and kind regards,
LOLOX_HD.
