My pals and I have been playing on a Bedrock Survival world for quite some time now, and we have made some very ambitious builds and such. As part of my builds, I made an aquarium and a zoo! I wanted to keep several animals, and I managed to fill my aquarium with Tropical Fish and a Sea Turtle, and my zoo with a Polar Bear, Ocelot, Parrot, Fox, Wolf, Mooshroom, Panda, Wandering Trader Llamas, and Bees. It took a lot of work - we couldn't get the Sea Turtle in a boat so we pushed it and lured it with Sea Grass over 400 blocks back home. Our Frozen Sea, Mushroom, and Jungle biomes are both over 7000 blocks in one direction, so bringing home those animals without them dying or me dying in a Hard Mode Survival World was a lot of work. We used Name Tags to name them so that they wouldn't disappear - as is the purpose of name tags.
However, I have lost my Sea Turtle, all of my fish, my Polar Bear, Panda, Mooshroom, and Fox due to despawning, despite being named! It's very frustrating, especially after the immense amount of hard work that went into getting those animals home. We also have some enemies trapped with names, and they are still around, as are the Wolves, Horses, Donkeys, Mules, Cats, Ocelot, Parrots, and Llamas. I've come to the conclusion that there is a bug in the game with animal mobs that are technically non-tameable, as all tamed mobs and enemy mobs with name tags are still present. Is there anyway this can be adjusted? With Foxes, Polar Bears, and Mooshrooms all able to be attached to Leads and Tropical Fish/Salmon/Cod able to be collected with Buckets, there is clear incentive from the designers to the players to be able to keep these animals and name them, so it feels even more frustrating that they disappear after a random amount of time. Can anything be done about this?
