Basically I was playing normally in my 1.8 World, and decided to set my View distance to max, which for me is 16 chunks. However after doing this the World started flickering with random chunks basically, the World wasn't changed, where blocks were and such, but the textures were flickering with extremely many different "chunk textures". I tested putting my view distance down a Little bit and at 15, still like that, 14 the same, at 13 the chunk I stood in stopped flickering while others still did, I'm not sure at which view distance it entirely stop. I have a video recorded with this but it exceeds the maximum size of 10mb, so I've posted it on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0V5xYCklSg&list=UUczeyte4eeb6ebQKbJOjtCw Thanks for your time, hope this helps in any way, have a good day.
