OS: Windows 8 (ver 6.2, arch x86)
Java: 1.7.0_67 (by Oracle Corporation)
Launcher: Minecraft Launcher 1.5.3 (bootstrap 5)
Minecraft: 1.8 (updated Tue Sep 02 02:24:35 MDT 2014)

Unconfirmed
I changed the Render Distance and the game chunks went crazy.
I changed the render distance from 4 chunks to 5-16 and expected it to just change the render distance like it would.
Instead I changed the render distance from 4 chunks to 5-16 and all the chunks in game went flash crazy and changed non-stop then minecraft crashed
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot Minecraft 1.8
2. Create World
3. Climb to the Tallest tree, or just fly up in creative mode
4. Make sure render distance is 1-4 chunks
5. Change render distance to anything above 4 chunks
6. Watch what happens
