Expansion A
Fireballs fire from ghasts can no longer be deflected by projectiles, such as; arrows, tridents, snowballs, and more. This behavior is entirely unique to 1.20.5 Pre-Release 1, and is likely a result of the fix for MC-207353.
Steps to Reproduce:
- (Optional) Give the player regeneration, for ease:
/effect give @s minecraft:regeneration infinite 255 true
- Summon/spawn a ghast
- Attempt to deflect the ghast fireball with an arrow fired from a bow, a loyalty (optional) trident, or snowballs
Observed Behavior:
The projectiles will either break, or be deflected, and the fireball will not be redirected.
Expected Behavior:
The fireball would be redirected, as this functionality existed in a previous snapshot, and is no longer possible. (I was unable to find any indication of this being an intentional change)
