When spectating a living entity in spectator mode and it sustains damage, your camera will adjust accordingly. However, this behavior does not extend to non-living entities, which can be damaged using the /damage command. If you're spectating entities like minecarts or armor stands, your camera will not tilt when you inflict damage on them. Relates to MC-259552.

      steps to reproduce

      1. Summon an armor stand entity
      2. Spectate the armor stand
      3. /damage @e[type=minecraft:armor_stand,limit=1,sort=nearest] 1 minecraft:player_attack
      4. Summon a boat entity
      5. Spectate the boat
        /damage @e[type=minecraft:boat,limit=1,sort=nearest] 1 minecraft:player_attack
      6. Summon an ocelot entity
      7. Spectate the ocelot
      8. /damage @e[type=minecraft:ocelot,limit=1,sort=nearest] 1 minecraft:player_attack

Observed: The camera tilts only when mobs, such as ocelots in this instance, take damage. However, when spectating non-living entities like armor stands or boats, the camera does not tilt upon their damage.
Expected: The camera should consistently tilt when spectating any entity taking damage. Although non-living entities don't turn red when damaged, they may still exhibit visual cues, as seen with armor stands, boats, or minecarts wobbling upon damage.
