The Bug:
The wet state of wolves isn't saved to NBT.
As a result of this issue, the wet state of a wolf resets when its NBT data is reloaded. For example, upon the wolf changing dimensions or the world being reloaded, its wet state isn't saved.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Construct a nether portal in the overworld and ensure that the nether dimension chunks are initially loaded.
- Tame a wolf and set the weather to "rain" so that it gets wet.
- Push the wolf through the nether portal and then you yourself enter it as well.
- Observe the wolf's wet state.
- Take note as to whether or not the wet state of wolves is saved to NBT.
Observed Behavior:
The wet state of wolves isn't saved to NBT.
Expected Behavior:
The wet state of wolves would be saved to NBT.
