When messing around with piston doors, I have found that pistons seemingly receive power strangely. Redstone going into an air block above a piston, seemingly gives power to both the piston under it, as well as a piston underneath it if there is one placed there.

I have seen similar threads, however they seem a little less clear, and the pictures are lacking or difficult to understand.
