The Bug:
The animation of several actions is sometimes not displayed for other players.
This issue can most easily be seen when "Player A" loads into a world where "Player B" is already performing one of the affected actions as listed below. For "Player B", they will see themselves performing the given action but for "Player A", they simply see "Player B" standing still whilst holding the given item and not performing the given action. I understand that this issue may be difficult to comprehend, so I've attached a screenshot analyzing the problem here which can be found below.
Affected Actions:
- Blocking with a shield.
- Charging a bow, crossbow, or trident.
- Using a spyglass.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Get two players and label them "Player A" and "Player B".
- Get "Player A" to stand still and have "Player B" stand in front of them.
- Get "Player B" to perform any of the actions listed above, by getting them to hold down the "Use Item/Place Block" button (right-click by default), and having them switch between items in their hotbar.
- Get "Player A" to watch "Player B" closely.
- Take note as to whether or not the animation of several actions is sometimes not displayed for other players.
Observed Behavior:
The animation of several actions is sometimes not displayed for other players.
Expected Behavior:
The animation of several actions would always be displayed for other players.
