The Bug:
Players without operator permissions cannot normally destroy blocks inside spawn protection, however, if a player were to throw a projectile at an item frame, the item within it or the item frame itself would be removed/destroyed, regardless of whether or not they're inside spawn protection.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Start a server, join it, give operator permissions to yourself, and switch into creative mode.
- Set the world spawn to your current location by using the command provided below.
/setworldspawn ~ ~ ~
- Place down some item frames and some items within them.
- Obtain any projectile, for example, some snowballs, and switch into survival mode.
- Remove your operator permissions, and grant anyone else with them in order to activate spawn protection.
- Attempt to destroy the item frames and remove the items within them by throwing the snowballs at them.
- Take note as to whether or not you can destroy item frames and remove the items within them by using projectiles in spawn protection.
Observed Behavior:
Item frames and their contents are removed/destroyed.
Expected Behavior:
Item frames and their contents would not be removed/destroyed.
