The minecraft launcher is not recognizing and downloading any versions after 1.16.1.  I have tried uninstalling completely and downloading minecraft completely yet the only version recognized is 1.16.1. I have tried deleting all the files in the .minecraft location as well to do a complete new download of minecraft, but not all the needed files are downloaded, and minecraft will not play. Only the Web cache folder and a couple of .jar and .jason files were downloaded. I did keep a copy of the deleted files and put them back into the .minecraft file location to get back to a working 1.16.1, and added a friend sent a copy of just the .jar and .json files into the 'Version' folder, and it still did not work.
