In the regular world; Inventory open; recipe book open; I could not grab the right-most top three items. Mouse clicks would not interact. If I closed the recipe book, I could pick-up. Environment: I was next to my spider farm, lots of mobs, and underground so no long sight lines. 

What I expected to happen was...:
While the recipe book was open, I could pick-up items.

What actually happened was...:
I could interact with all inventory items except the right-most top three. (while the recipe book was open)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open inventory
2. click
3. ...

It doesn't happen 100%. I just returned to my "home" and everything worked several times... until it didn't. I cannot determine a process to cause to fix.
