When playing on a new hardcore superflat map night would not end. At about 2/3 of the way through the sky the moon would jump back a couple seconds, stuck in an infinite loop. All of the blocks in the village I was in had trouble breaking too, they would just pop back in place similar to spawn protected blocks. Before nighttime I had no problems breaking these blocks. It is also worthy noting that there were numerous (over 20) zombies chasing villagers in the village because of a "zombie siege".

What I expected to happen was...
Blocks would drop items after breaking and night would end after 7 minutes

      What actually happened was...
Blocks reset themselves after breaking and night wouldn't end
