The new cats will swim in water, but still take damage and drown even when they shouldn’t because they’re at the surface. Based on my search this was a bug in November that got marked as resolved but it’s still an issue. This has happened consistently across different worlds, cats, bodies of water, etc. This makes cats practically unusable if there’s any water nearby at all because they’ll inevitably drown within minutes.
