Pressing esc (default options menu hotkey) crashes the game instantly. When minimising minecraft by pressing windows key or external notifications, when entering the game again - you'll see the options screen for a few seconds. If any buttons clicked, the game crashes. If on the options screen for too long, the game crashes. Options screen only accessible as normal in title screen.
