Mob behaviour
The bug
When a spider goes from being hostile to passive, they will retain their "chasing" destination, and continue to walk towards it while idle. This is not MC-93772 or something similar because the spiders remain at their position when the player they originally chased moves away.
Steps to reproduce
- Use /setblock to make a block floating about five to ten blocks above the air, stand on it, and then attract the attention of spiders
- Set time to day or go to creative mode to cause the spiders to become passive; they will still be slowly walking and jumping in attempt to reach the block you were standing on until they choose another destination at random.
