I have researched past reports and found reports marked as done from December and several others that were as well and referenced the before mentioned report in your done section of issues. it isn't done or I otherwise still wouldn't be encountering this problem with them spawning. its the only area within 120+ blocks where any mob can spawn. not only do slimes not spawn but hostile mobs rarely spawn as well, something like one or two mobs will spawn over ten to fifteen minutes while i watch from 50 blocks away. please fix, this is what I would call a tragic shortfall in the gameplay, so much so it is no longer the enjoyable action packed game I enjoyed while I still played on the xbox one version before the bedrock update. I would appreciate another look at the issue to improve or resolve the issue of spawning slimes and mobs of any kind as the spawning of any creature or other entity other than the player is extremely rare, if existent at all. even in the nether where travel and exploration should be dangerous its as if I'm taking a stroll in the park. I even mine glowstone over lava lakes without worrying about getting knocked into it by a hostile mob.
