I placed two chest next to each other to create a large chest and left some stuff in it later I broke one of the chest and the other chest stayed open. What I expected to happen is the other chest to stay closed. The remaining chest would stay open until you opened the chest, destroyed it,or re logged. 

To recreate this you do this:

1: place two chest next to each other to create a large chest 

2: open the large chest 

3: break the first chest you placed 

4: you are done this should leave one chest that will stay open
