Netherite Burns in lava and fire, at least on Realms

I found out that my netherite pickaxe can burn in lava the hard way when playing on my Realms. I threw it in lava, thinking that it would survive, but luckily I had a back-up thanks to Realms. So I got curious, and since I knew that I had a back-up to rely on, I took a lava bucket and plopped it down in a one by three hole. I then threw in netherite scraps, my netherite pickaxe, netherite sword, and finally all my netherite ingots. All the items burned and disintegrated just like any other item would. In fact, these items even disintegrate when thrown into just regular plain old fire. So what I did was I reset to my back-up, I downloaded the world, and then on my downloaded world playing on my HDD, I threw all my netherite things into the lava, and wouldn't you know, they all survived and bounced around like they should. So I can confirm this is only a Realms issue.
