When I configure the game for full screen, the game freezes and need to be restarted (also the whole system feels more lagged after this).

The only way to resolve this is to go back to window more (but it is not easy, since every time the game starts in full screen and freezes again). The work around found is to not use the mouse in full screen to get to the config menu and change the settings back to window mode (therefore, the issue may be related to the mouse).

PS. It would be great to have an option to start the game in "safe more" to change the settings if something goes wrong.
