As you will see the screenshot is of the new feature of safe area which is a major part for gameplay purposes. I have the iPad 12.9inch which is one of the newer version of the iPad and I believe it was not tailored to this device with the centre of the arrows being more to the top than the bottom making the menu screen very bad. To fix it will just need to be centre in the middle.
