      I have made a beacon at Y=10

Within a suitable X and Z axis range, if I am at Y height of 0-80, I can see the beacon beam shooting far into the sky as expected

If I go higher to Y=81, the beam vanishes altogether, although the effect remains no matter how far up I go (e.g. Y=200) within the suitable X and Z range

Is this an intended feature of the game that the beam can't be seen if the Y-axis position is too high away from the beacon source?
