My friend and I bought Minecraft on switch to play on each other’s worlds recently. However it consistently takes us an hour to finally connect. Every single night we play, he starts his world so I can join. He shows up on my friends list and we’re “best friends” on Nintendo Switch. Yet when I try to connect, the screen that says, “connecting to a multiplayer game” takes around 2 minutes to load then finally reaches a screen that either says, “you must be friends with someone in this world in order to join”, or more commonly it says, “connection timed out”. We both have reset our internet routers, reset the console (powered off for 2 minutes) and then tried connecting but it never seems to solve it. I often have to close Minecraft repeatedly and attempt to rejoin until it finally loads.
