Summary:
In Minecraft Bedrock, there are quite a few problems with the AI for llamas.
-leaded llamas won’t stay still while it is being controlled by the player, as it will constantly wander around aimlessly
-unleaded llamas part of a caravan constantly run around aimlessly for a short while before going back to the line
-llamas don’t have enough basic wits in Minecraft, because they never try to avoid walking into pools of water or cave systems, this happens especially when they’re wandering
-leading a llama that is with a caravan will cause it to resist the lead, breaking it and does its running-around behaviour to join the caravan again
How to recreate bug:
This is the same in both Survival and Creative worlds
-obtain llamas and lead
-attach lead on one of the llamas
-observe for the llama(s)’ annoying run-around behaviour
Current in-game results:
-the llamas in the caravan will wander and run around aimlessly for a short while
-llamas that run around have the potential to fall into pools of water and drown themselves
-they can also run into holes in cave systems resulting in fall damage
-any llama you wish to leash away from caravan will resist your control to attempt to return back to the caravan and break the lead
Expected results:
-the llamas in the caravan will stand still while lining up in holding position
-llamas will follow the player in a single file line
-llamas will not attempt to wander away from the “leader”
-llamas will avoid falling into water, or cave systems and will “walk around the danger” like the player guiding
-leashed llamas and llamas in a caravan shall follow exactly where the player has guided them
-you should be able to leash llamas away from a caravan without resistance
-llamas will not attempt to break its lead
-the llama AI should end up being similar to the ones in Java Edition
