Yesterday, on my child's iPad, Minecraft started freezing at startup. There was nothing I could do - restarting iPad, restarting Minecraft, nothing helped. Every time, I start Minecraft, it gets to about 75% loading, then freezes.
This morning, I installed Minecraft (had to pay for it!!) on my iPad, and it loaded fine. Then I signed in with my child's Microsoft account, and it immediately froze. I killed the app and restarted it, and now it didn't want to load again, it simply froze at about 75%.
Then I uninstalled the app on my iPad, and after reinstalling it I could normally start the app. Again, as soon as I attempted to sign in, it froze. Interesting enough, Minecraft never asked me which account it wants me to sign in with - I assume it "remembered" my child's account, and was automatically signing me in with that account.
Restarts, reinstalls, ipad restarts, nothing helped.
Then I did a stupid thing - I bought another copy of Minecraft for PC, and tried to sign in on PC with my child's account, and it worked fine. There are no worlds on PC (on my child's iPad there are a dozen of worlds created over past four years), but at least I could sign in and my child could play on my PC.
After that I tried starting it on iPad, but now starting didn't work at all - instead of hanging at about 75%, it started crashing at the same 75%.
I tried more stupid things - I tried removing my child account from the family group, changing my child's birthday to make the account an adult account - no matter what I did, everything is still the same, my child can't play Minecraft anymore and is desperate.
Mojang folks - I assume you have no kids at home - because if you did, you'd know what it feels when they can't play their favorite game!
