Mobs do not drop XP at the location where they are killed and instead do it at their death location after the animation has concluded.

This can make getting XP from mobs more difficult espiccialy with Knockback. Often in servers it leaves XP orbs lingering on the ground due to a player killing a mob and not chasing it to pick it up too which is annoying and also can potentially cause lag issues.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Spawn in any mob that drops XP upon death by a player.
      2. Kill the mob in survival
      3. Observe that it’s items drop where it is killed yet the XP is dropped only after it’s animation and at where it dies.

So since I have been ignored over 10 times now for many weeks both here and on Discord, I will repost (56765) this issue. As stated by Sliced Lime, an official Minecraft Developer who responded directly when asked, (view attached screenshot.) This issue is not an intended mechanic in Bedrock and is a feature in Java. Which means it should either remain open/reopened like many other parity issues such as 36783, 47141, 32437, or if it will never be addressed, changed to postponed like 35761.
