Summary
If you equip elytra, start swimming and press or hold (temporarily) the jump button, your character will sometimes be unable to swim through certain gaps such as 1x1 gaps or 2x2 gaps.
For some reason, elytra is required for this bug even though it does not activate. I tried multiple times to do this without it and I could never get it to happen.
It affects both Creative and Survival modes, but Survival may be better to use as you won't accidentally fly.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Build a 1x1 or 2x2 gap underwater.
- Equip elytra.
- Start swimming and press the jump button while heading towards the gap. You may have to do this step more than once.
Observed Results:
At some point, your character will be unable to swim through that gap and you will have to stop swimming and start again to swim through the gap.
Expected Results:
Your character is always able to swim through the gap.
