Shadow mute is when you type into chat but nobody can see your messages. This bug is also known as Mojang/Microsoft mute. I cannot see other people’s chat on servers, and to confirm it is not that specific servers problem, I checked on four other servers that I had never played on before, and I was also muted there. It cannot be Microsoft’s problem that is causing shadow mute since they do not control issues that are happening in-game, so it has to be Mojang’s problem. Mojang, I want you to know that this should be fixed ASAP. With many people shadow muted from this bug, these people aren’t able to chat with the people they are friends with, they are unable to socialize the way they used to, and this overall makes it a terrible experience. Mojang, stop denying what is your fault. Stop pushing the blame onto Microsoft or our servers, as it IS NOT a problem with the servers we are playing on. I can’t even chat in multiplayer worlds, so it is CLEARLY not the servers problem. Seriously, Mojang, get your act together. Make Minecraft a better experience for so many more people, just by fixing this one tiny issue. Thank you.
