Got murdered in the Nether by some Magma Cubes and Blazes, but when I tried to respawn, I was beneath the bed and died instantly over and over again. Didn't even show death messages, though. I finally just quit to the menu but when I reloaded I spawned in a random part of the map (not even the spawn area). Thankfully I got lucky and found my way back home but wasn't able to retrieve my gear (which I had just spent hours making). Almost forgot to mention, but my bed was out in the open. The only thing next to it (besides the ground, of course) was a torch.
