Note: This is a reupload because my last report didn't get any response.

Hello, so I would like to report a bug related to signs in Minecraft (Bedrock Engine), I found this bug on my iPhone 6, but it's also on my Windows 10 PC, so I imagine it affects all devices. The issue is that when you're typing in signs and you use a color code (Example: §4 for red) that code takes up character space in the sign, this makes it so if you use want to write messages in signs with color, you don't have the same space as if you didn't use a color code. Now in the final version of the sign the code isn't there, so why should it count as a character? So below are the steps to reproduce this so you can know what exactly I'm talking about. Below that I have a few suggestions for fixes. Steps to reproduce: Place down a sign. Type down a message starting with a color code (§4 , §b§l , §6 , etc... Make sure you use a color code everytime you start up a new line, even do when typing it seems as if the code from the top line affects all lines, but in the final version it doesn't, there's a lot of weird stuff in the behavior of signs when using color codes. BTW, make sure the message takes up all the space and more, it needs to take up more space than the allowed. Type that same message in another sign without color codes. You'll see that the non-color sign had more space, while the colored one had less. I believe this is due to what I exposed earlier, color codes take up character space, they shouldn't count as a character because they aren't visible in the sign once finished. I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but I due recall in earlier versions, really early ones, like 1.0 and earlier, color codes didn't take up any character space, but this changed in either 1.1 or 1.2, one of these updates did some changes to signs which sorta changes their behavior and led to some of these issues. Signs back in the day had and X you could click to exit, now you just click the screen and you exit. Now my solutions for this would be: Make it so color codes don't take up character space in the sign. If it's not that simple to do then... What you can do is make so once a color code is typed in the sign extends the character limit (the character space the color code takes up is the number of space added. For example: §a§o takes up 4 slots of character space, so the sign character limit is extended by 4. If you type a lot of character codes in (they need to be visible when typing of course so you can know where they are and erase them) wouldn't matter if when typing the text has to go outside the sign or isn't visible, as long as it's visible in the final sign.) So thank you for reading the time to read my report. I hope this issue is fixed in the near future, I honestly use a lot of color in my signs and it's annoying that color codes take up character space, as I can't finish typing my complete messages unless I take away the code. Have a nice day!
