If in minecraft pe for a little while the wheat grows fully like its supposed to. But if you exit ur world and left the wheat untouched it will not save. If u go back into ur world and look at the wheat it is back to stage one of growth(when just planted). So it's like it never grew, but it did and just did not get saved.
