The prompts to shear, tame, or leash animals dont appear unless you're touching the target mob, which often causes the mob to be pushed away and the propt to disappear. This makes taming mobs often impractical. 

This could be corrected by either increasing the reach on these actions so prompts appear when further away, or disabling attack while using these items, making tapping function as the interact command.
