Repeating Command blocks not working after I edited them.

I got in a world where I had /execute commands from before the command was updated. I was changing them, and I made them to where they should work, I exited the command block, and nothing happened. It was on always active and repeating. The output was - and the command was correct, yet nothing happened.

I did find a way to fix this if this happens to any players:

-Turn it to Impulse and needs redstone

-Exit command block

-Enter command block and turn the settings to repeat and always active(or whatever you need)

Please solve this. I don't know if this is universal or if it is just me, but I had no mods, experiments, or anything else like that on.
