Hello, I’d like to report an issue. A few months ago, my girlfriend and I decided to play Minecraft together; she plays on her phone (iPhone 12), and I play on my laptop (Asus Rog Strix G15). Everything worked fine for the first few months without any problems. When we noticed that we could download addons from the marketplace, we decided to give it a try and only downloaded the free ones (for reference, we both downloaded the addons on our devices). We enjoyed playing with addons so much that we decided to purchase some, and that’s when the issue started. Important details: I was the only one who bought the addons, and the world (and several other test worlds) was created on my laptop, while my girlfriend only joined the world. The worlds are not Realms; we use the LAN function.
If the world had 3-4 addons, my girlfriend could connect without any issues as long as the addons together didn’t exceed 30 MB. If the addons exceeded either of these two limits, whenever she tried to connect and download the addons, at a certain point, the download would stop, freeze the game, and then an error message would appear saying "the server has sent a corrupted package." We tried creating worlds where each of us downloaded one addon that we would use, so my girlfriend could download them one by one, and then when joining the world with all the addons, the problem wouldn’t appear. This method works, but it’s not efficient, and it becomes inconvenient when one or more of the addons are updated, as it requires downloading them again, which triggers the issue once more. We also tried uninstalling the game from my girlfriend’s iPhone and reinstalling it, but that didn’t work. We created a new world thinking that maybe the current world was corrupted, as the message literally says "the server sent a corrupted package," but that didn’t work either. We called some friends who also own the game to see if they could join the world, and they had no trouble connecting, so the problem seems to be between the iPhone and the laptop. I’m not sure if you’re aware of this issue, as I’ve seen several people, especially on Reddit, complaining about the same thing. I’d like to know if there’s a solution in progress or if there’s a guide to resolve this.
