So, I just made a redstone contraption to move a barrel when it's opened. I got a barrel with the opened hole on the side. I broke it, and the game froze and crashed. I couldn't find a single thing in the crash logs. After I started up Minecraft again, it didn't crash when I broke it. Though, after I set up the contraption again with a new barrel, after breaking it, it crashed again. No addons were used. A image of the contraption:
