I was in my survival world where I went to a "Trial Chamber" and died on the first try, when I came back my diamond armor had been taken by a bogged skeleton and my diamond sword and shield taken by a zombie, both being mobs from " trial spawner"; when I killed them, none of them let go of my things, they only died and I could only find my other things (trident, pickaxes, axes, food, bows).
