When playing multiplayer over LAN, the “Visible over LAN” toggle under the world settings turns off if there is no internet connection. which stops everyone from joining your world. The current workaround involves a multi-step process that requires toggling mobile data and Wi-Fi settings. However, this is not a viable solution for devices that lack internet access or mobile data capabilities, as it prevents them from hosting a LAN world.
Steps to Reproduce the workaround:
Disable Wi-Fi on the device intended to host the world.
Enable “Allow mobile data for online play” under General settings.
Load the world on the hosting device.
Re-enable Wi-Fi and disable mobile data on the hosting device.
Attempt to join the LAN world from other devices.
Impact: This issue significantly affects gameplay, as it restricts hosting capabilities to only those devices with constant internet access, excluding devices without mobile data or internet. It limits the ability to play collaboratively in a LAN setting, which is a core feature of the Minecraft experience.
