This bug has been reported and marked as resolved (MCPE-9992).
But it still exists, and It has bothered Hebrew and Arab players for years. I hope to solve this bug.
Steps to Reproduce:
• go to the game chat or inventory's search bar and write something in arabic as example: مثال word
Observed Result :
• after writing it will appear as : ل ا ث م
Expected Result :
• it must appear as what i wrote: مثال not ل ا ث م
( Note : the same thing happened when trying to edit en_US.lang file and write arabic in it to add the language to the game )
More Notes:
- Arabic letters must be connected
- In Arabic or Hebrew the direction of writing is from right to left but in the game it written from left to right like English or others Europeans languages
- When adding arabic or Hebrew language by editing en_US.lang file u should reverse letters orders to show it correctly
- Minecraft chat dosen't show the letters correctly too until u reverse words + Keeping their shape with Unicodes as example writing : مثال u must write it ل ـا ـثـ مـ
- i implemented a resource pack that adds arabic to the game. To see the differences
- Everything with Arabic letters appears reversed and unconnected too like :
- - items named with anvil
- - mob named with name tag
- - chat/signs/books
- For Better understanding to what happens i have an example: when u write "Example" word in English in chat ( just an example it s not a bug inside the game ) in this situation the game shows it as "e l p m a x E " instead of "Example"
in java edition the problem was solved, but in bedrock It still exists
Example:
How it should be: مثال
How is it in the game: ل ا ث م
