Previous reports of this bug keep getting closed, and the problem keeps not getting fixed.

• Set up a character skin
• Launch the game

Expected result:

• Character skin should be what you left it at during the last game session

Actual result:

• Randomly see the character skin reset to something that you have never used

This happens on all Bedrock platforms, most recently observed on Windows version when attempting to redeem some of the holiday 2023/2024 free items advertised on the launcher. Clicked free item on the launcher, and then the button to redeem in the marketplace. When the marketplace loaded, the character skin that loaded was a completely random skin that I had never used. When I backed out, it then saved that skin and overwrote what had been there before. No way to revert to what I had actually used. There is absolutely no work around for this bug that can be done at the client side, and no way to predict when it is going to happen, except that it WILL happen eventually. I have not been able to maintain a skin for more than a month of regular login without this bug hitting at some point, sometimes multiple times.

This is not a client side network issue. It is not a client side hardware issue (happens on all Bedrock platforms - have seen it on Xbox One, Switch, and Windows, personally; have seen reports on PS4, Xbox Series S/X). It is not a time of day issue - have encountered this at all times of day, nor a day of the week issue.

There is absolutely no incentive to use or attempt to purchase any cosmetic items for your character skin with this bug STILL active. It is beyond tiresome to have to randomly go in and reset all of your customizations every other time you try to log in to the game.
