I was in the End dimension having beaten the Ender Dragon with stone tools. Long story short, in the outer islands I was ganged up on and killed by 2 Endermen. I didn't press the Respawn option in the death screen because I wanted to record what happened as I wasn't paying attention to my coordinates (and I didn't want to keep the chunk loaded with my items to despawn). I went and hit the "Main Menu" option to check back the footage to confirm the coordinates of my death. Whenever I tried to join the world though, the loading screen got stuck at the generating terrain part and would never move past the final few segments of the bar. I sat there for up to 30 minutes and no progress was ever made. This world wasn't particular massive (~170MB). I have tried several times after to get it to work on a copy of the world (changing gamemodes, settings, etc) and none of the copies could successfully load the world. I had every vanilla non-experimental setting (except instant respawn and cheats) toggled on. My spawnpoint was at an unobstructed bed in the Overworld at the stronghold I was at (around 4000 blocks from 0,0). It was a world with the multiplayer option enabled (but still no other players). I have attempted to replicate this issue in test worlds, and have somewhat succeeded with inconsistent results. I go to the end, die, don't hit respawn, hit main menu, and rejoin. Most of the time it had the same infinite loading screen, but it actually pulled through once or twice for a reason that I don't know of. I haven't seen any other case of this, but I do think this is a bug considering I was able to recreate it.
If anyone has anything to help out on this matter, I would greatly appreciate it.
