The enchantment glint strength and speed got new accessibility settings to customize the player experience. On Java Edition, the glint texture used by items and entities was separated in order to make the enchantments less obstructive on armor, while still retaining visual fidelity in the item icons, but that change hasn't been carried over to Bedrock.
Instead of making the glint used by entities less obstructive, Bedrock's default glint strength was set to 50% instead of 75%, which causes the glint to be normal on armor but too subtle on items.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Set glint strength to 50%;
- Grab an enchanted item and observe - the glint is too subtle;
- Set glint strength to 75%;
- Wear enchanted armor and observe - the glint is too strong.
Observed Results:
The item and the armor use the same glint, which is not appropriate for both.
Expected Results:
The item and the armor use separate glints that fit better for their specific use cases.
