When a line of redstone/repeaters reaches an unloaded chunk, rather than loading it and continueing as in pc, it just stops. This can be shown by placing a line of redstone dust/repeaters untill the starting point is out of the loaded chunks, then wrapping the line around a bringing it back to the beginning. Then (reload the world just to make sure they are unloaded) power the start of the line, if taken far enough the other end will never be powered. (Android LG G Vista)
