      Procedure:

Step 1 place down a repeating command block with the following command:

      /execute @e[type=ender_crystal] ~~~ /tp @s ^^^0.40 facing @p

Set the command block to always active, unconditional execute on first tick and 0 delay

      Step 2 /summon ender_crystal

Step 3 walk away from the summoned end crystal

Step 4 once about ten blocks away, take a bow out of the creative inventory and aim and shoot at your feet

You will find that an explosion has occurred directly where you are standing even though the end crystal appeared to be 10 blocks away at its initial summoning location. This appears to be entirely a graphical issue since the end crystal still behaves like any other entity other than the fact that it's entirely invisible.

Using the /execute command to make the invisible end crystal summon an entity causes the entity to be summoned where the invisible crystal is instead of where the crystal is visually.

the movement might become more apparent if you use a repeating /particle command executed from the end crystal to be able to see it
