After so many blocks above beacon lights are no longer visible. I kept my beacons at level 50 to make sure boosts reach all the way down and my base is around elevation 200. On the climb up to my base after I get so high the beacon lights would disappear and didn't worry too much about it. Now the world has deeper levels so to get the boosts at bottom of the world I have set my beacon pyramids at a lower level. Now I have to choose between being able to see beacon lights at sea level on surface or having boost effects at lowest levels. Should the beacon lights be visible all the way to top of world or is it it by design that you can only see them so many blocks above beacon?
