I understand that using the Material Reducer with any block could make no sense. For example, ¿what can you expect if you reduce a redstone repeater, a bucket of tropical fish or a jigsaw? But, some other blocks that do make sense or could make sense (taking into account the blocks are used) aren't working.

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Open a creative world with the education edition features enabled.
      2. Put a Material Reducer on the ground.
      3. Pick up any of these elements:
      • Stone stair
      • Stone slab
      • Polished stone
      • Polished stone slab
      • Copper ore
      • Deepslate
      • Tuff
      • Any deepslate ore variant
      • Nether gold ore
      • Basalt
      • Podzol
      • Coarse dirt
      • Powder snow
      • Blackstone
      • Soul soil
      • Nylium
      • Moss block
      • Calcite
      • Amethyst
      • Rooted dirt
      • Any nether stem, hyphae or planks

           4.  Try to place it into the Material Reducer's input.

      Observed Results:
That blocks aren't moved to the input.

      Expected Results:
Each block should be reduced accordingly with the following list:

      • Stone stair, stone slab, polished stone, polished stone slab, deepslate, tuff, basalt or blacksone: Si67 O33
      • Copper ore: Cu64 Si12 O24
      • Any deepslate ore variant: (The same as their corresponding stone variant)
      • Nether gold ore: Au64 Si23 O7 Hg5 ???
      • Podzol or coarse dirt: Si21 Ca8 P3 N3 Fe13 Mg6 Zn2 Cu2 O42
      • Powder snow: H67 O33
      • Soul soil: Si63 O12 ???25
      • Nylium or moss block: C15 O70 N8 P7
      • Calcite: Ca20 C20 O60
      • Amethyst: Si25 O50 Fe25
      • Any nether stem, hyphae or planks: C49 H6 O44 N

You must take into account that this is only an approach  made by a non-expert and all recipes can be changed for making it more accurate.

As Ancient Debris is also an ore, I think it could be included, but I have no idea how can be it's composition.
